Green County YMCA Welcomes New Marketing & Fitness Coordinator

January 26, 2022 By Press Release

The Green County YMCA is excited to welcome a new member to our full time staff! Please welcome Lacy Gilbertson, Marketing & Fitness Coordinator. Lacy’s anticipated start date is Monday, February 21st.

Lacy is a native of Southwestern Wisconsin. Growing up as the youngest of six children, her family is everything to her and the reason she still resides in Wisconsin. She and her husband James live outside of New Glarus with their three children, Ryder, Taylee, and Ace. They love being active, outdoors and regularly go on adventures together. They also really love the beach and would be there every day if it wasn’t so far away!

Lacy grew up dancing in Monroe and played basketball here at the Green County Family YMCA. She remembers as a kid, loving the opportunities that were available in our small town environment. After college, she began a career in corporate America, then transitioned to administrative work in the public education sector.

Lacy always wants to be present for her family while also making a difference in the larger community, particularly by helping others on their health and wellness journeys. From personal experience, she wholeheartedly believes life is short and can change in an instant. Lacy is passionate about inspiring others to move their body while they are able and encouraging others to live life to the fullest.

“I truly believe that life is better when you are happy and healthy. I’m extremely excited to be adding to my extended family by joining the YMCA! I can’t wait to meet all of you soon and help you have your healthiest year yet! We only get one chance at this thing called life. Let’s make it the best we can TOGETHER!”.
