The following incident occurred on Saturday, January 22, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash  
At approximately 11:11 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 11 and Allen Rd., Town of Cadiz, for a report of a single vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined that the operator, Matthew R. Wildeboer, 37 of Cedar Falls, IA, was traveling west on State Highway 11 when it entered the north ditch, striking a guard rail. Matthew was not injured, reported not wearing his seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  

Matthew was issued citations for Inattentive Driving and Failure to Wear Seatbelt.  

OWI Arrest
At approximately 11:22 PM, Deputies responded to the 300 block of S. Cincinnati St., Village of Albany, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.  

Investigation determined that the operator, John H. Scully, 41 of Albany, lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and entered the ditch, becoming stuck. John was not injured, reported wearing his seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was not damaged.  

John was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol – 6th Offense, Felony Bail Jumping and Threat to a Law Enforcement Officer. John was issued citations for Possession of THC, Operate a Vehicle Without Insurance and Failure to Install IID. John was jailed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance. 

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
