The following incident occurred on Saturday, May 1, 2021:
Motorcycle Crash / OWI 2nd Offense Case:
At approximately 12:35 p.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, and the Browntown Fire Department responded to the W9500 block of CTH MM in the Town of Cadiz for a report of a single motorcycle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that Steven A. Steiner, 28, Browntown, WI, was operating a motorcycle and traveling westbound, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle then exited the roadway and entered the ditch, where it overturned. The motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Steiner sustained injuries in the crash and he was not wearing a helmet. Steiner was flown via Med Flight to the UW Hospital in Madison, WI, due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigation resulted in Steiner being cited for Operate While under the Influence (alcohol) 2nd Offense. Steiner was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
