On Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at approximately 4:45 a.m., the Green County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by members of the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force executed a search warrant at W6250 Iliff Rd. in the Town of Monroe. Members of the Stateline Area Narcotics Task Force (SLANT) also assisted during the search.
The investigation began in early June after the Sheriff’s Office received a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cybertip related to the distribution of child pornography. Seized during the search was a cellular device which had multiple files that depicted child pornography. As a result of the on-going investigation and the subsequent search warrant, Troy Lee Thomm, age 39 of the above listed address was arrested for Possession of Child Pornography. Thomm was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance. The case remains under investigation.
A charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
