On July 14, 2020, at 11:39 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported at STH 69 and 8th Street.
Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Reesan R. J. Ruch (21), South Wayne, was westbound on 8th Street, and collided with a vehicle which was northbound on STH 69, operated by a 50-year-old Brodhead man. Both vehicles sustained severe damages and were towed.
Ruch was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a flashing red signal, and was released pending a court appearance.
