The following incident occurred on Thursday, July 23, 2020:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:57 p.m., Deputies responded to the N9300 block of CTH D in the Town of Exeter for a report of a motor vehicle versus tree crash. Investigation revealed that Catherine R. Booth, 16, Belleville, WI, was traveling northbound on CTH D when she reported that she looked at her cellphone. Upon looking at her cellphone, Booth lost control of her vehicle, which entered the east ditch and collided with a tree. The vehicle then came to a rest. Booth reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Booth was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control and was released pending a court appearance.
