All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Thursday, July 2, 2020:
Probation and Parole Arrest:
At approximately 1:51 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Chad E. Pehl, 46, Fort Atkinson, WI, who had a Probation Hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Pehl was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.
At approximately 5:49 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 300 block of S Center St in the Village of Browntown for a report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in David C. Brownson, 63, Browntown, WI, being cited for Disorderly Conduct. Brownson was released pending a court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, Brodhead EMS, and the Brodhead Fire Department, responded to the intersection of STH 81 / STH 11 / CTH GG in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Heidi L. Nelson, 51, Beloit, WI, was traveling westbound on STH 81, approaching the intersection with STH 11 and CTH GG. Nelson failed to stop at the Stop Sign at the intersection and entered the intersection. Nelson’s vehicle then collided with a vehicle that was traveling westbound on STH 11, which was found to be operated by Jodee L. Vandlen, 55, Juda, WI. Both vehicles then entered the ditch and came to a rest.
Vandlen reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and she sustained injuries in the crash. Vandlen was transported to an area hospital by EMS. Vandlen’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Nelson was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign, Non-Registration of an Auto, Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance, and Failure of Operator to Wear a Seat Belt. Nelson was released pending a court appearance.
