All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incidents occurred on Friday, July 17, 2020:

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 9:29 a.m., Deputies responded to the 200 block of N Mechanic St in the Village of Albany for a report of a two vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that Larry W. Nipple, 70, Albany, WI, and Christopher K. Roberts, 69, Albany, WI, were each performing a backing maneuver out of separate driveways.  Upon entering the roadway, both vehicles collided.  Nipple reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt.  Nipple’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and the airbags did not deploy.  Roberts reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt.  Roberts’ vehicle sustained moderate damage and the airbags did not deploy.  Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

OWI Arrest:
At approximately 9:57 a.m., the Green County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a traffic complaint on a vehicle that was traveling southbound on STH 69 from the Village of Monticello.  It was reported that the vehicle was traveling into oncoming traffic by traveling southbound in the northbound lane of STH 69.  Deputies located the vehicle in the N4000 block of STH 69 in the Town of Monroe and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Investigation resulted in the driver of the vehicle, Randall W. Leeder Jr, 32, Edgerton, WI, being arrested for Operate While under the Influence (drugs) – 1st Offense.  Leeder was cited for Unsafe Lane Deviation, Operating after Suspension, Expired Registration, and Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.  Leeder was released pending a mandatory court appearance
