All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, April 7, 2020:

Theft of Firearm / Criminal Arrest Case:
At approximately 3:10 a.m., Green County Deputies responded to the 200 block of 3rd Ave in the Village of New Glarus for a report of an active theft in progress from an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in a driveway.  Prior to Deputies arrival, the suspects left the scene in a pickup truck.  Investigation revealed that the suspects had stolen a semi-automatic rifle, several gun parts, and a large quantity of ammunition from the vehicle.

At approximately 3:36 a.m., in the 1200 block of 9th St in the City of Monroe, Officers with the Monroe Police Department observed a pickup truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle used in the theft in New Glarus.  Upon Officers making contact with the pickup truck, multiple subjects exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.  Officers were able to detain two of the subjects.  The two subjects were identified as Jayden J. G. Rodriguez, 18, Monroe, WI, and Luke F. Johnson, 17, Albany, WI.

Investigation resulted in Rodriquez and Johnson both being arrested for Theft of a Firearm (Felony).  Both Rodriquez and Johnson were incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

The case remains under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 4:05 a.m., Deputies responded to the W8100 block of STH 81 in the Town of Jordan for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash.  Investigation revealed that Naomi P. Gordee, 32, Argyle, WI, was traveling eastbound when she reported that she swerved to miss several deer that were in the roadway.  Gordee lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch.  The vehicle then overturned several times and came to a rest.  Gordee reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and she sustained a non-life threatening injury.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Traffic Crime:
At approximately 2:04 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for Speeding in the N7000 block of STH 69 in the Town of Washington.  Investigation resulted in the driver, Omar T.
