All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Thursday, January 30, 2020:
Traffic Crime:
At approximately 5:14 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for Failure to Obey a Traffic Sign in a Construction Zone at the intersection of STH 11 and CTH KK in the Town of Sylvester. Investigation resulted in the driver, Otoniel Silvestre Marcelo, 23, Milwaukee, WI, being cited for Operate without a Valid Driver’s License – 3rd Offense (Traffic Crime) and for Failure to Obey a Traffic Sign in a Construction Zone. Silvestre Marcelo was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
Domestic Abuse Arrest:
At approximately 3:51 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N2300 block of Spring St in the Town of Jefferson for a report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Justin D. Halvorson, 31, Juda, WI, being arrested for Battery and two counts of Disorderly Conduct, all Domestic Abuse related. Halvorson was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance or the posting of bond.
